Software
The first thing you will want to do when making a TGP is get software to run it.
The software will help you deal with gallery submissions, cheaters, and more. Some good TGP software programs are Auto Gallery Pro/SQL and Comus
Thumbs. There are lots more out there, but I really like these two because they have some cool features like ranking thumbs by the amount of clicks they get;
a thumbnail feature where the submitter can crop a thumb for their gallery; and a pass code to help prevent posting by auto posting programs.
Design/Layout
The next step to making your TGP successful is the design and layout. If you plan on trading traffic this is very
important! A bad layout and design will not make your surfers want to click enough to send a good amount of
traffic to trades. Sending lots of good traffic gets you lots of good traffic in return. Personally, I like very simple text
only designs with very few ads and I think this helps build a good amount of bookmarkers. Designs with graphics
also do well for lots of people but they just have not worked as well for me. It's really your choice whether you want
to use a graphic design or text. Try both and see what works best for your traffic.
Content
Now that you have your software and layout done, you're going to need content for your TGP. A good way to fill up
your TGP with content is to use hosted galleries. You can find a bunch at http://www.gayhostedgalleries.com/.
Another good way to get content is give out some partner accounts. There are plenty of good submitters looking for partner accounts at http://www.gaywebmasterchat.com/. And last but not least trade submit page links with other TGPs and gay resource sites.
Getting Traffic
So now that you have your TGP filled with content, it's time to start generating traffic to it and getting bookmarkers.
There are a ton of ways to generate traffic to your TGP. On your own TGP submission galleries, add a link to the
bottom of the gallery saying "Click Here to see all my free galleries." If you make link sites or AVS sites do
something similar. And, if you run a straight TGP make a section of gay galleries that all link to your gay TGP. You can also buy traffic from other TGPs and traffic brokers.
Trading Traffic
Another good way to make your TGP grow once you have a good amount of traffic to it is start trading traffic with
other TGPs. You can do this with hard links or a traffic trade script. I prefer using a trade script since they will
return traffic to your trades based on how productive (how much they surfers send you click) a trades traffic is.
Scripts also send back the most traffic to the most productive trades. Some good traffic trade scripts are TM3 from http://www.tgpsoftware.com/, UCJ from http://www.ucj.com/, and many more. If you are serious about making your
TGP successful I recommend a trade script you will have to buy. There are lots of free ones, but they skim traffic from your site and just don't work as well as the paid ones.
Making Money
So your TGP is growing nicely and getting tons of submissions, now all that's let is to make some money! One of
the best ways to make money with your TGP is to use hosted galleries. They are galleries provided by sponsors
that carry your affiliate id and pay you for each sale made from them. You can find a ton of them at http://www
.gayhostedgalleries.com/. You can also use traditional banners and text links thoughout your TGP. Another good
way to make even more money is to have niche archives, and link to sponsors of the same niche on your archive
pages. There lots of great ways to make good money from your TGP just be creative and keep it fresh and you'll make good money.
Well that's about all you need to get into the TGP game. Just work hard and try different things and your TGP
should be a success. If you have any questions be sure to check out http://www.gaywebmasterchat.com/ there
are lots of TGP webmasters there and loads of good information. Also be sure to check out my affiliate program http://www.clickherecash.com/ and pick up some hosted galleries to put up on your TGP.
